Relay Assistant™

Relay Assistant™ product line consists of software and hardware tools that can be combined in variety of solutions for testing protective relays. Software enables easy utilization of simulated and/or field recorded transients. Hardware components allow easy interface to low-voltage relay inputs or standard auxiliary transformer inputs through high-power amplifiers.

Relay Assistant™ Features

• Allows relay evaluations before purchase, during commissioning, and after mis-operations.
• Facilities relay conformance and compliance tests for design and application assessment.
• Supports automatic test aimed at assessing both relay dependability and selectivity.
• Meets test criteria established by NERC and IEEE standards and recommendations.

Relay Assistant™ Hardware

• Interfaces with custom power amplifiers or test sets (Omicron, Megger, Doble, etc).
• Provides test waveform editing features (cut and paste, filter, extrapolate, decimate, etc).
• Enables third-party simulation tools (short circuit, load flow, stability, ATP/EMTP) interfacing
• Facilitates automated batch test simulation, batch test replay and report generation.

Relay Assistant™ Software

• Allows importing test files in variety of data formats (COMTRADE, ATP/EMTP, Matlab, etc).
• Performs tests using field recorded and/or simulated signal waveforms.
• Enables assessment of relay operations and keeps history of test results.
• Facilitates forming of a library of test cases using standard IEEE model for fault simulation.
